If something needs to be fabricated then there will be an additional lead time. You must show matching ID on order to pick up. Credit card orders only.
Q. Do you offer free shipping?
A. This is only available to the Salt Lake City area ( Ogden to Prove, Park City to Grantsville). During the checkout process you will have to create and user account with an email. You will be contacted this way to make delivery arrangements. This is the only option to pay with cash. Select Free Local Delivery.
Q. Is shooting steel dangerous?
A. Ricochets are possible and you should assume that you are risking this anytime you fire at a hard object. The angles of the targets and stands are such that it reduces the chance of the bounce backs coming towards the shooter by deflecting it away. Always wear eye and ear protection.
Q. What type of steel do you use?
A. We use AR-500 steel for all of our targets. All AR-500 parts are laser cut for the highest quality. Our stands are made of mild steel and are not intended to be shot.
Q. What type of ammo can I use and at what distance?
A. Pistols should be fired from no less than 15 feet, and rifles and shotgun slugs no closer than 100 yards. Do not use steel core ammunition. For more details see Terms and Conditions page section 22.
Q. How do you ship?
A. We ship via UPS. We put targets and stands in the same box for shipping when we can, and will use multiple boxes for larger orders. We do this so that people can order potentially larger orders and items that would normally be put on a pallet, but requiring a dock or lift gate fee. For some customers, using pallets may be a more economic way for shipping. In that case indicate that you would like other shipping options in the purchase notes, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will contact you and make arrangements.
Q. What are your lead times?
A. We try to stock all of our products so they can be shipped immediately, but due to supply and demand there may be a lead of up to 2 weeks or more. If we are expecting more that 1 week of lead time we will let you know via e-mail.
Q. Do you have a warranty?
A. Yes. We have a 1 year warranty as well as a satisfaction guarantee. Full details are in the Terms & Conditions page in section 21.
Q. What type of payments do you accept?
A. We accept all major credit cards and PayPal. Cash accepted for local deliveries only.
Q. What type of maintenance is required?
A. All of our products come with flat black primer to protect them from rust. This paint will be eventually be knocked off by use and should be painted when ever you are done shooting to prevent rust. It is also recommended to paint the targets your choice of color to see hits as well. Many parts such as carriage bolts chains S hooks are meant to be replaced when they are damaged and can be found inexpensively at most big box hardware stores, and certainly at industrial hardware stores. The carriage bolt will have a lot of wear on it since the target move freely on it to allow louder ringing and absorb energy, so don’t waste money replacing it with a grade 5 blot. The legs and back of the Iron Horse can be replaced with solid or tube, round or square, metal or wood parts.
